Greenways and Blueways Plan
The Greenways and Blueways Plan has been completed.
It has been recommended by the Environmental
Management Policy Committee for adoption at
the NIRPC Executive Board December Meeting. For more
information contact Mitch Barloga,
mbarloga@nirpc.org. Individuals with hearing
impairments may contact Mitch through the Indiana
Relay 711 system.
If you
are interested in these potential greenways and
water trail opportunities, the maps titled “Greenway
Opportunities” and “Potential Water Trails” in the
MAPS folder are a good place to start. These maps
are PNG images, viewable in Microsoft Office Picture
Manager or similar image viewing software.
If
you are interested in the criteria used to establish
these potential greenways and blueways, the map
titled "Hydric Features" provides an overview of
hydrological features of the region. Also, the
Keyhole Markup Language (KLM) files in the folder
MAP LAYERS_KLM provide information on additional
features that were taken into consideration. For
more information on using these files, please see
the README file in the MAPS and KLM folder.
