NOTICE OF GOALS FOR PARTICIPATION BY

DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (DBEs) June 30, 2017


This is notice that the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC) has set a goal of 2.79% of contract dollar amounts for qualified disadvantaged business enterprises (DBEs). NIRPC is required by the U.S. Department of Transportation to set and to meet percentage goals for DBE participation in the procurements by the Commission and its subrecipients East Chicago Public Transit, South Lake County Community Services, North Township Dial-A-Ride, City of La Porte, Porter County Aging and Community Services, Opportunity Enterprises, and City of Valparaiso for the Federal Fiscal Years from October 1, 2018, to September 30, 2020. These goals and how they were selected are available for inspection between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the office of the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission at 6100 Southport Road, Portage, Indiana 46368, for 30 days following publication of this notice. Comments on these goals will be accepted for 30 days from the date of the notice to the attention of Allen Hammond, Compliance Manager at the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission at 6100 Southport Road, Portage, Indiana 46368 and to the attention of Regional Civil Rights Officer, Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration, 200 West Adams Street, Suite 320, Chicago, Illinois 60606.
